Pupil Expectations

Children don't only learn in school! We value your support in creating additional practise opportunities at home in the following:
Homework
  • Reading
  • Learning key number facts
  • Learning times tables
  • Occasional practical and written tasks, which naturally vary according to the age of the children.

Details will be given at the information meeting for each year group at the start of the year. The ways in which you can support your child's learning are included in our class curriculum learning letters published each half term. These are also available in the 'class pages' on the Parent/Carer tab of our website. The difference it makes can be incredible when your child is supported by you in these basic but essential skills and knowledge.

Remote Learning

In the event of the need for a child or children to be educated off-site, we have a planned intention to ensure children have access to remote learning. Please see our Remote Learning policy, with the 'Statutory Information' tab, 'Policies and Procedures'.

School Rules and Behaviour

We expect our children to demonstrate good learning behaviours in addition to following our 3 School Rules: Ready, Respectful, Safe. We ensure children are clear of our 'Behaviour policy' expectations as well as know that a consistent approach to consequences is taken across the school. Class teams will work with parents/carers should there be a need to support a child in understanding and following the rules and adaptions made for individuals where necessary. We have a Home School Agreement that is discussed with our children.

IT Acceptable Use Agreement

All children are made aware of the use of technology and how important it is to remain safe and respectful online. Class teams will talk to children about online safety and the expectations of its use both in school and at home. We have a class IT Acceptable Use Agreement on the class pages.
