Key Safeguarding Personnel

Pimperne CE VC Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and members of the wider school community to share this commitment. Safeguarding permeates through the ethos and culture of the school and is relevant to all activities and events that we do.  Staff and Governor training is updated inline with ‘best practice’ and information is handled discretely and confidentially and in the best interests of our children, to protect and support them throughout their time here at school.

On this page, you will find information about safeguarding in our school, who to talk to, as well as useful information and websites for parents.

Should you have any concerns relating to the safety and welfare of a child at the school you should immediately contact our designated person(s) for safeguarding.

Further information about how to keep children safe from abuse and neglect and what to do if a child is being harmed can be found on the Dorset Safeguarding Children Board’s website.

Safeguarding Contact Information

As a parent, if you are concerned that your child (or another child) is at risk of harm, you have a duty to report your concerns. This should be direct to the Children’s Advice and Duty Service (ChADS).

You can contact them on 01305 228558.

You may report concerns to the school Designated Safeguarding Lead, however, you may well be asked to report specific details directly to the ChADS team, not via a third party.
